About this item

  • Traditional Matcha Green Tea Powder: Japanese tea is renowned for its cultural importance, health-boosting properties and, most of all, taste. Our matcha powder is grown and produced in the home of matcha: Uji, Kyoto.
  • Health Benefits of Matcha Tea: Matcha tea powder provides a wealth of health-boosting benefits. It’s rich in antioxidants, improves heart health, boosts cognitive performance and liver function. It can also contribute towards maintenance of a healthy weight.
  • Pure, Organic and Natural: Our matcha green tea powder is free from all added sugars, colourings or preservatives. Enjoy your matcha green tea the way people have for centuries.
  • What Does Premium Grade Mean: Recognisable by its darker green colour and milder, more refreshing taste, premium grade matcha comes from the second harvest. However, it’s still delicious and boasts an abundance of health-boosting properties.
  • Ideal for Drinks: From an irresistible matcha latte or smoothie to the time-honoured matcha green tea, there’s no better way to make a home-brewed drink feel special than by using NaturaleBio’s premium grade matcha.

Ours is a Premium Grade, intended to be prepared as a drinking tea or added to beverages such as smoohies and milk or as an ingredient in cooking recipes.

Does it contain caffeine?

Yes, each serving (1g) contains approximately 30mg of caffeine, equivalent to 1/3 of a cup of coffee. Matcha also contains Theanine, which has a calming effect and reduces the effects of caffeine.

What is the difference between Premium Grade, Culinary Grade and Ceremonial Grade?

Culinary grade is for cooking. Premium Matcha, lower quality than Ceremonial, is ideal for milk, yogurt, smoothies, or recipes. Ceremonial grade, the highest quality, is traditionally prepared as tea, made from first-harvest, stone-ground leaves.

How should you store the product?

To maintain its freshness, Premium Matcha should be stored in the refrigerator, protecting it from air and moisture to prevent oxidation. For optimal conservation, consider transferring it to an additional airtight bag.

How much matcha is recommended to consume?

To stay within the recommended daily caffeine intake for adults, it's best not to consume more than 5 grams of matcha per day—roughly equivalent to five cups of matcha tea.
